LFS-LEARNING FOCUSED SOLUTIONS

SCA C.I.T. OFFICE

The purpose of this website is share information with all of you, and to continue to build on what we’ve introduced and will be learning in the upcoming months as we implement LFS at SCA.

Well, SCA is on their way! In December of 2009, our LFS leadership team did our best to introduce the rest of the SCA faculty to some of the most important research and components of the Learning-Focused Schools Solution:

  1. BulletESSENTIAL QUESTIONS

  2. BulletSUMMARIZING

  3. BulletGRAPHIC ORGANIZERS

  4. BulletACTIVATING STRATEGIES

  5. BulletVOCABULARY STRATEGIES

  6. BulletE-A-T-S LESSON TEMPLATES

  7. BulletSTUDENT LEARNING MAP TEMPLATES

Hopefully, we didn’t overwhelm our staff, and since then, we have provided additional opportunities to gain more information  to learning about the “WHY” and “HOW” about LFS, and we introduced three of the key components, enough to get you started, and provide a chance for you to gradually implement them in your classrooms. Check back here for regular updates and links to great resources!!
